Sunday mornings

Sundays are kind of sucky because I get so much anxiety about the coming week every damn time. At least it's only a bit more than 2 months left until I can stop worrying about that. Spent the night at Ace with some lovely people just having a good time, bought McDonald's with Kim at half past three in the morning to eat on the subway and then sat outside stargazing while smoking (note to self, do NOT pick up that habit) before collapsing in bed. Waking up today was merciful because we're smart girls who take alvedon before sleeping. It was nice to drink loads of tea and watch V for Vendetta but then Kim had to leave and I had to vacuum my room, hooray! It's already late afternoon now so I better sooth my anxiety in some way because this week will unfortunately be really shitty. Counting down the days to graduation... Get me out of there!

Cirkeln review

So yesterday I went to watch the Swedish movie Cirkeln with my mom and her colleague and her daughter. It was a pretty great movie and it totally make me want to be a witch. I've read the whole book trilogy and it's like amazing so of course I got a tiny bit bugged by some changes in the movie but yeah it's impossible to create movies that live up to the books. So aside from those little changes the movie was truly amazing. The casting was spot on for the characters, the soundtrack was perfect and the special effects were super cool. And they even put Swedish sub which I really appriciate because if it's one thing I hate with Swedish movies it's that we mumble. No seriously, have you seen a Swedish crime drama? You can barely hear what they say. So yeah go and watch Cirkeln guys. Fair warning that the first minutes are a bit scary but that might only be me who's a scaredy cat with blood phobia.

Lipton tea review

Guess who's been watching MariCraft all day? Meee! But I've also been drinking loads of tea to sooth my raw throat. So I bought Liptons "pleasure collection" yesterday on a whim and I tried all four teas today and here's a short review of them for you guys.
Black tea Bluberry muffin
This is your typical sweet black tea. I added a little bit of milk and sugar since it's black tea and it tastes really good. Very blueberry-ish and sweet but I don't get the muffin part.

Green tea Strawberry Cupcake
No milk in green tea but I put in just a dab of sugar to enhance the taste. Also very sweet but it had to brew for a long time until it really tasted strawberry. Once again I didn't get the cupcake part.

Green tea Lemon macaron
This green tea needed no sugar at all as it tastes really strong and buttery. It actually smells like macaron but tastes lemon on your tongue. I usually only drink green tea when I work or when mom brews a pot because I think it tastes bitter and I'm more of a sweet person but I can drink this tea again and again.

Black tea Pear chocolate inspiration
Honestly I don't like when my tea tastes chocolate so I don't drink rooibos tea. This tea tasted more pear than chocolate though so it was really delicious. I added milk and a tiiiny bit of brown sugar (I always use brown sugar in my tea). This one was probably my favourite.

It's only 5 tea bags of each but it's a good way to try new tastes and see which one you like the most so yeah worth buying.

Have a nice day~

Illness and frustration

I've been going in and out of the hospital for a few weeks now and most of the doctors and nurses have been really kind to me. Especially the ones who handled my surgery. But yesterday I was unfortunate enough to cross paths with the most unsympathetic doctor I've ever met. How he chose his occupation is beyond me. So I was going to do an ultrasound and I was really scared because it hurts like hell for me even though I'm doing my best at relaxing. I told him that it was hurting at the moment and asked him to be careful. Oh he wasn't careful at all... It hurt so badly that I cried and then I get "oh suck it up". Really? Really? How about I stick that damn metalrod up your ass and see if you can suck it up? After that horrible examination I got a lecture on how I just need to pop a few pills and walk off to school like nothing's wrong. Okay first of all: I've been "popping pills" since I was 13 because of the pain in my stomach and it doesn't solve the problem. I still bleed like I'm about to die and I still get cramps that actually makes me want to die. I even tried to pop a pill and go to school this morning but my uterus clearly said no. I spent half an hour in the bathroom just throwing up and getting nosebleed because of the pressure building in my head. This is kind of gross but I needed to vent about that idiot who clearly had no idea what he was doing and I hope that I never have to go back to him again. Now I'm going to "pop" another pill and see if I can catch some sleep that I didn't get during the night.
Night night

YouTube channels to check out

Back on the couch again after another hospital visit and it didn't go so well so I'm doing another list to cheer me up. Here are some great YouTube channels worth subscribing to.

Smosh Games

Joining Anthony, Ian, Mari, Joven, Sohinki, Lasercorn, Flitz and Wes in different segments is a lot of fun. My personal favorites are Honest game trailers, Game Bang and MariCraft. It's kinda funny because my ex tried to get me hooked on Minecraft for months but it didn't work, and it only took me two episodes of MariCraft before I started playing it myself haha.

PewDiePie

I'm listing all the gaming channels first lol. But yeah as a fellow swede I support Pewdiepie a lot. I've rewatched his Last of us gameplay so many times already because it's so good. It's a nice mixture of long story gameplays and some weird stuff that's just there.

Cryaotic

Now this gamer here has one of the best voices ever! I remember a friend sending me "Cry reads Fifty shades of grey" and I was so confused because his voice was so great but what he was reading was so wrong. Go and watch his gameplay of either The cat lady or Beyond two souls because they are super good.

Markiplier

Another guy with a great voice. Mark is the one I watch Five nights at Freddy's with because I like his reactions the most. He has lots of good videos on his channel.

CinnamonToastKen

Ah I've watched so many strange games on Ken's channel like My ex boyfriend the space tyrant and it's always fun. Also go and check out his and Pewdiepie's podcast BroKen it's really good.

Bart Baker

Want a parody on the latest pop hit? Chances are Bart Baker has made one. All the Taylor Swift ones are hilarious (don't mess with the devil). Take them with a grain of salt and don't get offended geez.

Off the great wall

I'm studying chinese and my teacher uses this channel a lot so I've come to love all the different videos they have. I'm showing my parents a few videos to prepare them for our future trip to Shanghai because they know absolutely no chinese (well my dad can order beer but that doesn't count).

CinemaSins

When you want to show someone why a movie sucks just find it on CinemaSins and they will list the reasons for you.

TheFineBros

Here you can watch kids, teens, elders and youtubers react to viral videos as well as watch The fine bros own shows like Emo dad. They also have another channel called REACT with lyric breakdowns and games.

Screen Junkies

The channel with the honest movie/tv show trailers as well as The screen junkies show. They also have a good podcast called Movie fights where they discuss the newest stuff in the movie world.

Blogilates

Whenever I'm not sick I put on one of Cassie's videos and work out. Her videos are easy and fun to train with. Go and do the Call me maybe squat challenge because damn that will train your butt. And don't forget to check out the recepie videos as well because they are delicious.

Michelle Phan

One of the most famous makeup gurus on YouTube with a released book as well. She has some great makeup tutorials as well as skin care videos and lots of other useful stuff.

Bubzbeauty + Bubzvlogs

Makeup and hair tutorials as well as really cute and funny vlogs of her daily life with her family.

CutiePieMarzia

Pewdiepie's girlfriend who does great DIY's and is a master of horror stories (how fitting lol) watch her on her different quests to scare Pewds while he's gaming.

Tyler Oakley

This is like the best thing when you're sad, go and watch a Tyler video or listen to his and his friend's podcast Psychobabble. It will cheer you up in no time with all it's hilarity and cuteness.

This post took me ages haha because I'm just lazy. Anyway check out these channels if you want, they're great. See ya!

Asian movies worth watching

Heya I'm bored on the couch so I've conducted a little list of asian movies I like and would recomend to others. If you don't see a movie on this list that you think should be there then why don't you tell me in the comments? Oh well on to the list!

Battle Royale

Now this is the bloodier version of Hunger Games and it's awesome! Based on a manga where a school class gets taken to an island where they're supposed to kill each other. I'm not too big on blood and gore but I made an exception for this movie because it's so deliciously messed up.

Crouching tiger, hidden dragon

A masterpiece by Ang Lee. This movie is simply beautiful and I'm such a big fan of Michelle Yeoh lol. I love martial arts and although it looks a bit funny with the actors flying through the air it's still very well coreographed.

A werewolf boy

Now this damn movie is a curse that you have to send along sorry guys. I cried for hours after watching this. It's a lovely but sad story and Song Jong Ki plays his part as a "wolf boy" so perfectly.

The legend of Hua Mulan

Step aside Disney, this take on Mulan is for the older audience with war and tragedy and other grown up stuff. Cred to this movie for making my mom cry.

Rurouni Kenshin

A samurai movie here, also based on a manga about a wandering samurai who does not kill. Takeru Satoh is amazing as Kenshin with the perfect mixture of adorable and dangerous. This is a trilogy but I haven't seen the other two movies yet. I've read the manga though so I know the plot well enough :3

Love is not blind

Ah my first chinese romantic comedy. It's cute, funny and so much feel good in this movie about finding a new love after a breakup.

Anything by Studio Ghibli

Because let's be honest, all of their movies are great and it's impossible to pick just one. You can pick a serious movie like Princess Mononoke or a whimsical and happy one like My neighbour Totoro and no matter what you will feel pleased afterwards.

Enter the dragon

Because Bruce Lee simply must be included and this movie is my favourite.

Ringu

To be honest this movie isn't really scary until the last few scenes but they gave me nightmares. Also, this is a classic so it's worth a watch.

I'm a cyborg but that's ok

My dear friend Eila went on about this when we were in 7th grade so I gave it a watch and it's good. Very special but good. I didn't like the first scenes but that's because I'm a wimp haha.

Now there are two movies I'd like to give an honorable mention to. They're not produced in Asia and they speak english but these two movies are good anyway.

Memoirs of a geisha

I find this movie beautiful in so many ways. The story, the setting, the clothes. The geisha culture has fascinated me ever since I saw a few geishas walk down the streets of Kyoto and this movie gave me a small peek into their lives.

The last emperor

I didn't like this movie at first but the more I thought about it, the more I came to appriciate it. The story is very sad but it happened in real life and is a part of history so I'm very grateful they made this movie. Also I'm a sucker for Joan Chen (have you seen her in Netflix Marco Polo? She's perfect!)

So here you are! There are like tons of movies I'm sure I've forgotten at the moment but oh well. I'm gonna bring my iPad to the hospital so I can watch one of these movies while I wait for my turn. Hope you enjoyed this list. See you later!

Women's day

Just stopping by to wish a late happy international women's day. There are lots of work to do for equality around the world but we are taking steps forward and it's a wonderful thing to see. This day is for paying attention to all the women in this world
Short post but oh well have a nice evening

Day trip in windy weather

Mom needed new riding clothes so her, me and my grandparents packed ourselves into the car and drove to Uppsala. Also I was the one doing the driving for practice. Uppsala is located an hour from Stockholm but the road is easy. However driving while my grandparents are in the same car... I'm not doing that again anytime soon. Oh well we got there safely and mom got her clothes. Also got to say hi to some islandic horses
I got a kiss haha aaw~
On the way back I didn't have to drive since I was basically exhausted. We stopped at Max for lunch
It's always interesting to eat fast food with my grandparents because grandpa always stubbornly chooses a huge hamburger with lots of toppings even though he only has one hand with four and a half fingers to use. Now we're on our way back to Stockholm and I'm gonna sleep for the rest of the ride. I'm super tired already haha.

Agnes cooks: Squid with black beansauce

I like cooking and baking actually so tonight I was responsible for dinner. Thought I might share this recepie since it's quite easy and really delicious.

You need:
500g squid tubes
2 yellow onions
1 big red pepper
1 big green pepper
1tbs + 1tbs rapeseed oil
2tbs oystersauce
2tbs black beansauce with garlic
2dl water
rice

Thaw the oyster. Cut it in pieces and turn them inside out. Cut a square pattern without cutting through the lobsterpieces.

Peel and chop the onion. Cut out the core and chop the peppers.

Fry the squid in 1tbs oil for 3-4 minutes while stirring. Put them aside on a plate. Fry onion and pepper in 1tbs oil for around 3 minutes. Stir in the squid and add oystersauce, beansauce and water.

Allow it to cook for a few minutes and then serve immidiately with rice and additional beansauce.

I added some cashew for crunchy texture. This dish is very salty so a sweet dessert might be good (I'm having raspberry sorbet and chocolate ice cream). Hope you liked this recepie. Tell me in the comments if you tried it. Also it's more fun to cook with music on. This evening I had The Clash on full blast. London calling me baby~
Have a lovely evening.

Partylife is scary

So I went out with my fella Kim last night and we had a blast and I also learnt some valuable stuff to remember when you go out. So here is a mini list for you guys.
1. The preparation at home is usually the best part. (You get to take a drink and doll yourself up with good company and good music which is pretty darn great)
2. Bring tissues with you. (Toilet paper will run out and someone might spill something on you. Happened to me like four times in one night)
3. Dance your ass off (it's fun and it's not like people will judge your dancing, they're too drunk for that)
4. Drink lots of water to ease off the hangover (do I need to say more?)
5. Clean your face before collapsing somewhere (you will feel at least a little bit fresher in the morning)
6. Float along and have fun!
Now I'm finally at home and I can nurse my hangover while studying for my chinese test tomorrow.

Btw they played this track at the club and it's so catchy! Enjoy

Dishonoring family

Waiting for art class to start and have I mentioned how much I hate art? Well I don't hate art but I can't create pictures or that stuff even if my life depended on it. I can do stuff with words but ask me to paint or draw and I will suck. And oh did I mention my mother is an art professor? And that her student is my teacher? And that said teacher still thinks I'm supposed to be great like my mother? Ah screw it all!
Maybe I can create something with my lipstick?
